Every year, cats are seriously injured or die after getting trapped in the V-shaped gap of a window left in the tilt position (the "Kippfenster syndrome" known to German vets). This wedge holds the sash at a controlled opening: the dangerous gap disappears, and the window stays open for fresh air.
It stays in place through its geometry alone, wedged between the frame and the sash. No screws, no glue, no marks on the frame: it is also suitable for rented homes and shared buildings. It sits in the inner gap and does not interfere with a roller shutter's guide rail.
